WORK TO COMMENCE ON A525 PEDESTRIAN CROSSINGS
Keele University would like to advise that from the 3rd December 2007, Wrekin Construction Co Ltd, working on behalf of Staffordshire Highways, will be carrying out works on the A525 Keele Road, in the vicinity of both the main entrance to the University and adjacent to Newcastle Lodge. The work includes traffic calming on Keele bank and the installation of Toucan crossing points at the top of Keele bank and adjacent to Newcastle Lodge.
This could result in some traffic delays during the working day because of the need to use temporary traffic signals to facilitate the works.
The works, including the commissioning of the toucan crossings, are programmed to be complete by mid March next year.
Every effort will be taken to minimise any disruption. The University would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you in advance for your co-operation.
