The University is considering a number of projects which will enhance and increase the access to and the use and enjoyment of the campus by a wide range of stakeholders in the local community.
Keele in the Community
The Faculty of Health is already very active in the locality through its educational programmes in Medicine, Nursing and Midwifery and Health and Rehabilitation. The Faculty is seeking to further develop its services on other locations away from the main campus but within the community it serves. This will increase access to and provide additional benefits for the improvement of healthcare in North Staffordshire.
The University has extensive gardens, woodland and leisure facilities which are regularly visited and enjoyed by the local community. The Ultimate Campus University for the 21st Century project will continue to develop facilities and activities for the mutual benefit of all users.
Good accessibility to the campus is increasingly important and improvements to public transport are continually sought. A Public Dialogue consultation on travel to and around the campus will begin in Autumn 2007 and will complete in Spring 2008.
