Environmental Sustainability
growing a sustainable future

It is the policy of Keele University and its subsidiary companies to use and conserve natural resources in such a manner as to minimise the impact upon the local, national and global environment.

University Energy Policy

The Keele University Estates Strategy has “sustainability” as one of its adopted principles, and as part of this we are “committed to contribute to environmental sustainability”.

The management of energy is aimed at achieving best practice, cost reductions and compliance with regulatory requirements.

This will be accomplished by focusing on safe and proven technologies and operating practices, linked to employee awareness of its effect.  This policy will be supported and instigated through the implementation of the University’s key commitments to energy management.

All staff and students are actively encouraged to support the aims of the policy and any suggestions to further improve energy efficiency and waste reduction would be most welcome.
