KEELE UNIVERSITY ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Following a detailed consultation process the University Council approved a new Environmental Policy at its meeting on 3rd July 2008.

In light of the feedback received during the consultation period, which showed a strong level of support for the proposals, alongside a call to be bolder, the University Council considered a series of options for how Keele might address environmental sustainability in the future.  As a result of this it was agreed to support the most environmentally ambitious option, acknowledging that suitable funding strategies need to be in place.

The Environmental Policy covers areas such as greening the curriculum, waste reduction, sustainable development and transport and contains a series of targets across these areas.
